Real World: Las Vegas ... Episode Recap

I was originally going to do this post while the show was playing live on MTV last night, but I ended up passing out at 9:30 (which means I got 10 hours of sleep last night!). Anyways, since I'm watching the episode now in the Tankie Cubicle, I figured I can still do the post this way...so here goes. Warning: SPOILER ALERT!

For those of you who have missed a couple episodes or don't watch the show at all, but are interested. The show starts off by recapping the instant friendship Mike Mike and Dustin had when they first entered the house, and how that friendship quickly spiraled out of control once Mike kissed Dustin's girl Heather on a dare while playing Truth or Dare. Also, if you remember from last week Nany is looking for her father since he abandoned her and her mother when she was younger. Let's see what this week has in store for us!

First commercial break: So the show starts off with the group in a meeting with Hard Rock executives, and they are proposing to the execs their idea for a final charity event. They want to raise money for music programs for schools in the Vegas area. How nice. So after this big meeting, Mike tells Dustin that he doesn't think the high schools/schools they end up working with will allow Dustin to come into the school since Dustin was doing gay porn and how the schools run background checks on people who enter the school. Classic Mike Mike. What schools run background check on every single person who sets foot into the school? Um, that's why we still hear these stories of sex offenders being on school properties because these background checks don't exist. Dustin gets extremely offended and upset that Mike would even think something like this and say this to him since its a topic that is just too sensitive to Dustin. And then they get back home and start talking shit about each other to the other roommates. They look like a bunch of 14-year-old high school girls talking shit behind the others back. How old are we?

Second commercial break: Ok so at this point Nany had a meeting with her private investigator who she has hired to look for her father. He has been able to locate her father who is in Miami and told her that he can get on a plane go to him a deliver a letter to him from her. Yay...a family reunion. At least now we know why Nany is attracted to the "bad boy" since she's practically described to be exactly like her dad. Oh yeah, and they all found out that they're going to Cancun, Mexico!!!! I wonder what Cancun has in store for them ... I'm hoping for lots and lots of drama.

Third commercial break: Hahahahahaha Naomi can't swim! So we get a little montage of all of the lovely activities the beautiful city of Cancun has to offer for them, and at the end of it we find out that Naomi can't really enjoy it because she can't swim. This whole trip reminds me of the time we took a family vacay to Cancun. Definitely the #1 family vacation we've taken so far. I miss Cancun! Hahahaha we also find out that Mike is afraid of snakes! He's laughing awkwardly like a little school boy...well if you're afraid of snakes maybe you shouldn't take a picture of it wrapped around you! DUH. EW ok Dustin and Heather enough with the PDA! We know you're in Mexico, we know you're in love with each other even though he did gay porn and Heather she was all against it and what not, but we seriously do not need to be seeing this right now. Leroy straight up looks like a Mexican with the pancho and sombrero. I think Naomi was the one that said if he had the mustache, he'd look legit Mexican. She's right. Andddd of course we go straight to the club. Gotta love the drama at clubs! Let me introduce you to Daniel "The Australian"...Cooke's latest hookup. That girl really knows how to go and get what she wants. Oh how we love the Australians...anddd the best part is when Nany and Leroy go in Cooke's room while she's getting with him. No that's not the best ... the best is where Cooke asks Nany to bring her Vaseline...hm girl what you need Vaseline for?

Fourth commercial break: We are back at the club! Dustin is completely drunk ... finally another time for him to act a fool. He starts by telling Cooke her legs are fat because she's an athlete. Big no no! Did he just get in a fight their cab driver? Yes, yes he did. "You're a punk...do you know el punko is in America?" Really Dustin? He's such a classy guy. Oh wait there's more... Mike is the only one with balls to confront him when they get back to the hotel about it. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! He punched? I don't even wanna call it a punch, but basically like a push tapped Mike in the face.

Fifth commercial break: After the fight Dustin says to Mike "Don't look at me bitch, I'll kill you". What is this guys deal? Ok Dustin is definitely a psycho! He can't handle the truth...plain and simple. Though it is a little fucked up that Mike said he couldn't go to schools because of the gay porn background, but still. Dustin you are crazy! Did Cooke just tackle Dustin to the ground!?!?! UM YES SHE EFFIN DID! Damn girl! I've gotta say that moment I was all for Team Cooke! Any girl that can tackle that guy down is my hero. And now Dustin cries like a little bitch  because of what Mike said to him at the beginning of the episode. Dustin did say one interesting comment when Leroy was calming him down ... "If you don't respect me, fear me" because if you don't do either then I'm nobody. That's pretty deep, even for Dustin.

Sixth commercial break: God this episode is so great...Mike seeks words of wisdom from Cooke on how to deal with Dustin in the house for the rest of their stay in Vegas. Uh oh ... Adam might be coming back. Ew Nany, do you not realize that this guy is also a psycho!? And that ladies and gentlemen is what we have to look forward to for next week's episode.
